We’re incredibly proud to share that Coromandel Shelly Beach TOP 10 Holiday Park has taken home three national awards at the 2025 Holiday Parks Awards, including the industry’s highest honour:
-
🏆 Supreme Industry Award
-
🏆 Community Engagement Award
-
🏆 Holiday Park Improvement Award – Medium Park
To win even one of these awards would’ve been amazing — to be recognised in all three categories is both humbling and energising for our team.
Supreme Industry Award
The top award of the night, this one recognises overall excellence across every aspect of park operations — from guest experience to innovation, sustainability, and leadership.
Judges highlighted our:
-
Growth
-
Strong staff culture and local employment
-
Investment in guest-focused tech like our kiosk
-
Support of local businesses and the community
-
Environmental initiatives, partnerships and education
This award reflects the work of our whole team — from those on the ground every day, to our wider whānau of supporters and community partners.
Community Engagement Award
(Sponsored by Big Save Commercial)
We love the Coromandel, and this award recognises how deeply we’re committed to it.
Whether it’s pool access for local families, donating mattresses to local community groups, hosting school trips and local events, sponsoring environmental groups, or helping build the new CoromandelColville.nz website for the local business association — we believe running a holiday park means showing up for your community.
This award celebrates the many ways we’ve tried to do just that.
Holiday Park Improvement Award – Medium Park
This award recognised our self-check-in kiosk — an innovative system that lets guests check in afterhours, safely and securely, without staff.
The idea came from a simple problem: we were missing bookings from people arriving late. Now, with a kiosk that syncs with our booking system in real time, those guests can book and check in on the spot – while our team gets their evenings back.
It’s improved our guest experience, reduced late-night stress, and increased bookings without increasing hours. A win-win-win.
“To be recognised on this level — alongside so many amazing parks and people in the industry — is truly humbling.
This is a huge win for our small, family-run park in the Coromandel, and a massive credit to our crew who deliver ‘Memories for Life’ on the daily.”
